Enrollment of the 2016 International Graduate Summer School in Aeronautics and Astronautics has officially launched on March 16th. This year, the Secretariat of the Organizing Committee of Summer School will, on the one hand, send invitations to foreign universities, research institutes and some relevant departments in Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics (BUAA), on the other hand, receive online application, email application and relevant consultation from graduate students at home and abroad.
The 2016 International Graduate Summer School in Aeronautics and Astronautics is organized by BUAA, assisted by National Laboratory of Aeronautics Science and Technology. This year, the International Graduate Summer School (IGSS) is based on the subject of aeronautics and astronautics, and is established upon current graduate education recourse. Key laboratories in BUAA are open to summer school students so as to enhance communications between students and professors and students of relevant department and laboratories. We will organize seminar between Chinese and foreign graduate students, promoting exchanges on academic views and stimulating innovative potential. IGSS is oriented to Ph.D. students and graduate students from foreign universities, research institutes and some research fields related to aeronautics and astronautics in BUAA. They are flight vehicle design, flight vehicle dynamics, flight vehicle manufacture,avionics and aerospace materials.
IGSS plans to enroll a total of 120 official students, including 60 foreign students and 60 students from BUAA. The percentage of Ph.D. students is no less than 40%. IGSS will be held from July 12th, 2016 to July 21st, 2016 on BUAA campus. July 12th is for registration and courses begin on July 13th. During IGSS, courses take 4-8 hours a day.
